Hi Everyone,
Here is a project I created for the 7 Dots Studio blog
Its a mixed media shadow box frame with lots of texture and technique!!
I created this artsy shadow box frame as a gift to my husband. My husband is a Chiropractor and I wanted to design a mixed media piece for him to hang in his office. I had a plastic spine shaped object from an old key-chain he used to have. I used it as the centre piece of my art work.
I wanted to create a very vintage, worn out looking piece, so I used one of my all time favourite collections Dreamer. The colours in the Dreamer collection were perfect to use to create this effect. I used the “Daydreaming” paper to wrap and cover the wooden frame. Then I used the “Sleepless” paper as accents.
I also used lots of chipboard to embellish the shadow box both on the edges and as an anchor for the spine.
