Woodgrain Mixed Media Shaker Canvas

Hi Everyone,

It’s Keren here with a new project and video tutorial using Prima Marketing’s Amber Moon Collection. This is textured mixed media 10×12 inch canvas with a shaker element using Prima’s Memory Hardware Remnant Dome .

This canvas was created for the More Than Words November challenge. I was invited to be a guest designer this month and I had to use the Challenge Board below as inspiration for my project.

Below is the challenge board. To play along you need to get inspired by both the woodgrain and the outdoors.

I loved getting inspired by the challenge board as I love using woodgrain patterns in my projects. I used the woodgrain pattern as the background to my canvas. For me, the outdoors always remind me of nature and so I wanted to incorporate nature into my canvas. I used flowers, butterflies and real natural objects to give it a natural feel. I’m very thankful for everything in my life so I wanted to incorporate that into the sentiment of this canvas.

I used fall colors to match the Amber Moon Collection as well as lots of different embellishments to mimic nature.
