This is a long post so please scroll all the way down if you dare!!!
This is my Bird is the Word reveal and the word to use today is HEART; just in time for Valentine’s day!!
For the layout I used the Feb 1st sketch from Once Upon a Sketch. The journaling criteria of course was about Love:
February 14th is Valentines Day in many parts of the world. For this challenge they would like you to create a project about the one MALE you love. And we do not mean just your partner or spouse. We mean any male in your life.
Ideas for journaling: You could journal about the love you have for your son, father, grandfather or a special person in your life or any pet.
For this layout, I used these beautiful papers I bought from Meg’s Garden. I absolutely love her papers. They have a beautiful Shabby chic look to them. I combined these papers with some Webster’s pages papers and digital elements that I downloaded for free from their blog. Finally I used a WP’s flower silhouette, a beautiful metal birdcage and two birds from Prima. I also used a flowery tag for my journaling and hid it behind the photo mat.
Graphic 45 mini-album Funny Faces
I’ve been working on this album for the past few days. I’ve had these really silly pictures of my daughter for a while. They are from the day she lost her first tooth, well actually from the day the dentist pulled her first tooth because it had an abscess. I wanted to take a picture of her and instead she started making funny faces and I got quite a few pictures of her. I thought they would be perfect for a mini-album and what better papers than the Graphic 45 Le Cirque. I love the colors of these papers and all the clowns fit the theme perfectly. I used the U-turn mini album from Clear Scraps that has lots of arrows pointing in different directions. I’m quite happy with how it turned out!!
Here are the close-ups.
